Workshop: Breaking the glass ceiling
Women make up roughly half of the global population, but you wouldn’t guess that by looking at their representation at all levels of the workforce. Overall, they represent less than half of the workforce in most regions. Moreover, they are less likely to advance than men, and face more barriers to senior leadership. And despite the attention and efforts related to female leadership, the glass ceiling remains in place. The lack of high profile women role models can make it hard for both women and men to imagine women running the show.
In this session, you will be able to meet the female role models serving in leadership positions at companies, government and NGOs in the Netherlands. They will inspire you with their success, and encourage you with the challenges they have overcome. They will share their stories, and involve in vivid discussions on how to create gender equality in the workplace.
The session will be a round table session, with one of our female role models facilitating the discussion. After a short plenary introduction of each role model, participants will join a table and rotate several times, so that they will have the opportunity to meet various female leaders.
