Rolf has his professional roots in the corporate world. His incessant drive to understand and utilise the full human potential, moved him to setting up his own company in leadership consultation when he was 30 years old. In the 10 years that followed, he traveled through Europe as a leadership consultant and coach, and worked for some of the world’s largest corporations. Thanks to these profound experiences with leaders and decision-making at the top of the corporate pyramid, Rolf gained insight into the stranglehold that our established structures have on organisations and their leaders; the damaging effects of their short term thinking and their lack of a holistic vision. He began to look for a different perspective and the key to renewal. When he was exposed to the leadership principles and the ways of life of the Anishnabe (the first Native Americans), he felt he had found this key.
The philosophy of life and the way of thinking of the Native Americans resounded so strongly with him and his wife that they decided to leave behind their successful cosmopolitan life. For four years, they lived with their three young children in the woods of upper Michigan to get a deeper understanding of wisdom and legacy of the Native Americans. Then they decided to spend a year travelling around the world, seeking for the Wisdom Keepers of the Earth.
